There’s a paid but still cheap Remote Desktop app that I prefer due to the way the mouse pointer is implemented and that’s called Splashtop.Īnyway, yeh there’s basically no reason not to try this out (it’s free), and functionality is basically same and in some cases better than steam link.

Install the client on your computer and app on your phone and enjoy StS on wifi AND internet 4/3G (which is capability steam link does not support unless you go for the convoluted band aid of a VPN to slow things right down to a crawl). Just so you’re all aware there are zillions of other apps out there that for iPhone (to Mac/pc), especially in the case of StS, do exactly what steam link does (or even better).įor a completely free solution check out VNC Viewer. So no luck on that side, given that there aren't many viable alternatives.

Sad thing is, if you have an Iphone/Ipad, you're basically stuck with the PC version since SteamLink has been banished from Apple's platform :/. There are touch control settings for keyboard and mouse clicks. The game is broadcast over Steam from a computer and streamed to your tablet. It allows you to play Slay the Spire on your tablet. Played in bed til way too late last night. Before that it wasn't displaying properly. Just make sure you check all the boxes in the steamlink settings for host. However I see others are saying that on mobile you can't throw potions at enemies because it would count as two mouse clicks? They're from way last year tho so maybe its fixed now.ĮDIT: I went ahead and got it anyway and its awesome on tablet (Samsung galaxy tab s 10.5 inch). Wow i didn't know about this til just now. I'm sad, but I can wait for a proper release if there'd ever be one x). It simply makes me grump when decisions like such are made and you can't benefit from a product on each platform, but frankly, anyone can live without it in the end. I'm no developer, I don't change models every year, my 6S had beed around me for 4 years without any notable issue (switched from a Galaxy S1 at the time), same for my Air 1 despite the aging components.Īgain, as a mere user, the only gripe I'd have with them is their overpricing and limited ecosystem, but I'd argue that you could find anything you need and more in both, be it iOS or Android, so that doesn't constitute a major flaw. I have no problem with their hardware as a regular user though.
